Dear Viewers,

Welcome to this year’s presentation of 6 pastel paintings and 6 watercolour paintings. I hope you like them.

This has been quite a busy year for me.  I have been involved in the organisation of another pastel art workshop and a second pastel art exhibition with some fellow artists and the National Library Board. The workshop was held at the NLB Bldg on 4 Saturdays from 23.7.11 to 13.8.11.  22 artists and 10 workshop participants took part in the pastel art exhibition, which was held at the promenade on level 8 of the NLB Bldg from 25.11.11 to 4.12.11.  As a tribute to artists who have been painting in this beautiful medium, the NLB also launched a coffee table book, “Pastel Art In Singapore”, on 25.11.11.  This well researched book is well-designed and well-written, and is a first for Singapore. It is worth-while adding this book to one’s collection of art books.
